EMPOWERED ASSOCIATES
Put People First is our most treasured value for a reason. Our associates are fundamental to our ongoing success. They are the drivers of our culture, our innovations, and our brand. We focus on empowering our associates to achieve both their professional and personal goals by providing what they need to be successful. This includes schedule flexibility, growth opportunities, robust benefits, and more.

ENGAGED ASSOCIATES
We understand the importance of having an entire firm of engaged associates who care about the work they do and want to do their best every single day. Engagement is something we take seriously as we want our associates to play an active role in supporting our culture and supporting the needs of our clients. Having a highly engaged workforce is a key piece of our culture and something we work hard to cultivate.
Every year, we ask for feedback on how we are doing in multiple areas through an annual survey. Questions focus on growth and development, acceptance and respect, confidence and pride in the firm, having the necessary tools and resources, and more. The benchmark for a healthy workplace culture is a rating of 70% or higher. For 2024, we proudly achieved a favorability rating of 74.7%, coupled with a record-high participation rate of 87%.
Results are shared firmwide as part of our commitment to transparency, and we actively address any identified areas of opportunity.

Our workforce includes people of all races, religions, sexual orientations, generations, and more. We bring different backgrounds and perspectives to the workplace, which help us become an even more welcoming and accepting organization. Our Diversity Action Council and subcommittees help cultivate a sense of belonging and acceptance for everyone, along with working to implement our overall DEI strategy.
BY THE NUMBERS
We monitor diversity within the firm by collecting data during the hiring and onboarding process. This data is used throughout the year to keep a pulse on our associates, respond to surveys and reporting, and for proposal information. We will continue to utilize this data to track the impact of our DEIB strategy in terms of recruitment and retention.

CAREER SUPPORT
Taking care of our associates includes helping them achieve their career goals. We encourage them to continue their education by learning new skills and completing other relevant training and certifications. Perhaps more importantly, we encourage them to consider career options within Rehmann.
We offer internal mobility, giving associates the chance to explore new opportunities without leaving the firm. Since we provide so many different services for our clients, it is not unusual for an associate to be interested in exploring a new area. Offering this option benefits both the associate, who gets new experience and growth, and the firm, which gets to retain top talent.
Having someone to turn to for career guidance and advice can help when facing challenges or uncertainty. Our associates have told us they view having a mentor in the firm as important to their overall engagement and career goals. We have developed mentorship programs that pair associates of varying seniority across departments to form supportive relationships from which both can benefit.
There are multiple paths to a successful and fulfilling career at Rehmann. Our associates are empowered to select a field they are passionate about, find a role and work schedule that works best for them, create their own learning and development plan, and more.
CEO ASSOCIATE ADVISORY COUNCIL
We believe our associates are an essential part of our success. As such, we take steps to ensure we are providing the resources, training, and work environment they need to be successful. CEO Stacie Kwaiser went a step further this year with the creation of the CEO Associate Advisory Council so she can hear directly from associates how they feel about the firm.
The council consists of a mix of associates from different departments and locations around the firm and who are considered next-generation leaders. They meet four times a year to share their thoughts about how associates are feeling, what is working well and where there are opportunities to do even better, provide feedback that may help influence people-focused decisions, and more. In return, Stacie gains valuable insights on how to keep our culture thriving and what associates are looking for from leaders and the firm.
This group ensures there is an open line of communication between Stacie and associates, which helps her continue fostering a successful associate experience.

LEVERAGING TECHNOLOGY
We use technology not only make working with us simpler and easier for our clients, but also to help our associates streamline their work and create efficiencies. Getting the biggest impact from the technology means understanding how best to use it. New Rehmann associates are introduced to the firm’s programs and software through an IT Essentials training course. This includes firmwide tools like our client relationship management system and billing system, as well as department-specific programs. This helps ensure that all new associates have a general understanding of the systems they will be working with, as well as where to get assistance if needed.
*Our firm has made significant strides in integrating AI tools to revolutionize our work processes. With Microsoft 365 Copilot integrated into our Office applications, our client-serving professionals now use AI to efficiently organize notes, manage to-do lists, create efficiencies in Word and PowerPoint, and manage email messages and responses. This has significantly reduced time spent on administrative tasks, allowing our teams to focus on delivering exceptional client service.
Our advisory and tax team is piloting BlueJ for tax research. This tool seamlessly integrates with Outlook, enabling quick replies to client tax-related questions. BlueJ is transforming the way our tax advisors work, enhancing their efficiency and quality.
We are using Synthesia, an AI video creator, to speed up the time it takes to create training content that can be edited and revised with ease. This has helped us keep our content current and reliable. It also allows us to onboard new hires and keep our client-serving professionals up to date on changes to our technology.
The integration of AI tools has saved countless hours on administrative tasks, sparked innovative ideas, and empowered our associates with cutting-edge technology. We are shifting the paradigm on how our associates transform into digital professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, and digital advancement.*

NOT ALL WORK AND NO PLAY
We value building trusting relationships not only with our clients but also with our coworkers. Throughout the year, we regularly have opportunities for associates to connect with one another outside of work to have some fun. In 2024, we celebrated the NFL Draft coming to Detroit, watched the eclipse, fed giraffes, enjoyed sweet treats, and much more!
